Silk Words by L. Montes

Letters form on ruthless tongues so sweet,
singing words of love from hardened hearts,
hoping one day you and I may meet,
living ever after ne’er to part.

But you mean not these words of silk,
just stringing letters from hardened hearts,
laughing with intent to bilk,
leaving souls as empty parts.
