Nature’s Movement by L. M. Montes

Falling beams of sun’s pure light,
portrayed the morning’s breath
of flowers and scented dew,
a haven and dreamlike world
to ponder thus with you.

In nature’s quietness I sit
upon a grassy cliff up high,
a tree it tapped me on the head
as breezes they set sail
and spoke of change’s rule.

Moody Weather by L. M. Montes

Eyes sagged in droop
when rain tapped the roof,
the sun is high up in the sky
and covered by clouds loop.

My happy mood had parted
when from the clouds rain darted,
Sun’s arms though breached as they reached
and now gray skies departed.

The Sky from My Kitchen Window

Morning by L. M. Montes

Mist arises from a grave unknown here,
tickling my mind so curiously,
then winds of thought spread far yet hovers near,
covering beauteous scents tapping me.
The sun lifts high and pulls the mist away,
and now grass sparkles on the brink of day,
flowers spotted diamonds of morn’s soft dew
are natures way of mixing its perfume.
A tiny cold nips at the finger tips,
while the sun prickles with warming tickles,
and the ocean of skies set forth the dyes
of bluish color hues as if on cue.
But alas a cloud of gray comes rushing
with storm winds pelting and rains a gushing.

Evening

Photo by Nicole Avagliano on Pexels.com

Twilight comes but once a day,
The sky turns raven black,
Grass and flowers yawn away.

Stars step out to blink and wink
While the moon man smiles back,
A look that only heaven thinks.

The tide rolls in to eat the sand,
While couples stroll along the beach,
Arm in arm or hand in hand.
