The Moment

Sometimes sitting and thinking/meditating is a great thing to do. Sometimes not. It’s what you decide it to be. Maybe the mood you’re already in sets the scene for what you will meditate on. Or not. Those pesky negative thoughts can be irritating. Worrying about something in the future is a killer of a good mood. There is so much negativity going on now in the world. But there always has been. How can you get rid of this worry of tomorrow?
I am not psych professional, but I can say from experience that I used to worry about the future all the time. It was depressing. I hated feeling that way. Then I started studying God’s Word and praying. By doing this, I was reminded about something… God takes care of the future. He his in the future. He goes before you and prepares it. It doesn’t mean some days ahead won’t be bad. There will be some. What it DOES mean is that God will help you through the bad times… If you let him. Take Him with you. Pray. Focus on the present. The today.

Writing Woes
Have you ever felt like there are no words left in you? Have you ever had one of those days when the writing world of words is stacked against you? Your computer “talks” back to you. Your work won’t open the way it’s supposed to. The program you use won’t respond. You know it works because you just used it the day before. What do you do?
Well, in a situation such as the above, I would stop and put my writing away. Because, truth be told, something is telling you not to write at that time. I know that sounds strange, but it’s true. I had a day like that today. It appeared as though the deck was stacked against me. So I stopped trying. I’ll go back to it tomorrow.
A Cruise Apart
The Blame Game

When do we cast blame? When do we seek to find the one responsible? Is it when something bad happens as a result of someone releasing something that shouldn’t have been released? Or, is it when someone invents something that benefits the world. Which scenario gets the most attention? The negative or the positive?
Lately, I have been hearing, seeing, and watching about who is to blame for the release of this nasty virus. I’m tired of that mantra. Seriously, I am. I think many others are sick of it as well. The truth is…well…God knows who and where it came from. He knows the truth. Those responsible know the truth as well. We can play this blame game all day long. It won’t solve anything. What it does accomplish is making people angry which leads to nonsensical crap that makes some want to commit violence. As I said…the ones responsible know who they are. They will be held accountable one day. Let’s leave it at that.
This virus is here. Let’s deal with that and come up with a way to fix it (somehow). I’m not a scientist, so my prayers are with those who are. I pray they are honest enough to figure out how to squash this virus once and for all. To God be all the power and glory. He is our refuge. I pray for good health throughout the world. In Jesus Holy name I pray. Amen.
