You can trust someone, but can you confide in them? There are many who I trust but would never confide in. Trust has multiple levels.

Having a life where you have everything money can buy or being given life. Which is richer? Which is poorer? Does it depend? If you were given a piece of rough would, for example. It has rough bumps on part of it along with tiny bits poking out in other parts. It’s ugly. Do you toss it aside, or do you make the best of it?
If you have everything and are not grateful, does that make you rich? On the opposite end, if you are poor and have little, are you poor?

Sometimes freeing up space in your mind means cleaning up external clutter.

This week I completed an interview with a national magazine. This is one of the photos I used. I enjoy talking about the journey I have been on since I set ‘pen to paper’ writing my first book. It was and still is my dream to write books and tell stories. The road hasn’t been easy though. There were some pot-holes along the way. The key is to stick with it and never ever give up. When the article goes live, I will share the link here on my site.

It’s ok to feel overwhelmed at first when something good or bad happens. That’s normal. So go ahead and feel that overwhelming sensation. Once the shock dies away, your mind will go over the situation and try to come up with ways to work with it. If it helps to hash it out with someone else, do that. Remember that little story about the tortoise and the hare and how slow and steady wins the race? Well, I look at that little story this way; as you’re taking your time to get through whatever it is your going through, your mind is also working on the problem in the background. If you rush through, you might miss something vital and lose out.

Obstacles will slow you down until you find a way around it. Stoppers will prevent you from moving forward. If you have a stopper in your way preventing you from achieving your goals, turn it into an obstacle and get around it.

Do you feel as though life is nothing but a journey uphill? Do you feel as though running downhill for a change would feel real nice? Stop. Not so fast. When your journey in life is a constant uphill struggle, are you learning along the way? On the other side of that hill, if you are running downhill at a constant momentum, are you learning along the way? Or are you going so fast that those opportunities to learn soar right by at the speed of light?
