  1. I love songs that inspire, Yes, I love Christian songs that don’t have to have a rock beat to be what I like. In fact, I would rather hear an original tune that praises God from your heart, than to have a rock song, that has a beat, and repeating the same word, or words over, and over. I like inspirational songs that come from the heart. Some are hymns, and others come from when music was being sung in a new style, because many were writing new songs. Smile. I listened to classics when I was growing up. My family was musical.

    1. I agree. Songs with a message that I can relate to and connect with Jesus at the same time are ones that hit me the most. One of my favorites is I Can Only Imagine by MercyMe.

      1. Writing music is harder than it looks. I know a few musicians who have written music.. I love sing-able music. I love to hear the words, and see what they say, because I believe repeating the same thing is fine for some, but there does need to be some depth. I write songs, and sing them back to God. At times I write down the words, or I play them on the piano for me. I worship the Lord when we are in a service, and at times I do raise my hands because I am reacting to the words of the song. God hears what we say when we worship, and I believe we should worship Him even if we have caught hold of a hymn and don’t want to let it go. Music is there for us to sing to Him, and when I run out of a song, I make one up just for Him. I do believe God loves the Joy of the Lord, and He loves to see us Happy in Jesus. We empty the requests, and begin to sing to Him, from our hearts. This is when new songs come, when we run out of the old ones. I just happened by. Keep writing. 2 Timothy 2: 15 is a good verse. So is Psalm 84:11,12
